Dangerous Of Diet/Weight Loss Pills
Guest Article - Dangerous Of Diet Pills
While a lot has been said about the advantages of diet pills it is good to note that diet pills do have disadvantages which can be catastrophic .Take this example for instance, Jerry is a 26 year old, 5'11, 85 kilogram young man who a year ago decided to take diet pills on top of his normal exercise routine and normal. Barely a month after starting to take the pills he had a bout of diarrhea, dizziness and headed aches. Initially he thought that he had caught the flu. He lost 8 kilograms 4 days.
His vision kept blacking out and he would feel like he was drugged. Worse was to come when one afternoon while walking from the bathroom to his bedroom he collapsed. A relative he stayed with rushed him to hospital where a number of tests were done on him. His pulse was at 120 beats per minute, blood pressure was 150/40, and an Electrocardiogram (EKG) was done on him to check whether he had a heart relate problem. Blood and urine samples were taken and a whole barrage of other tests.
Has eventually stabilized and the doctors told him that he was dehydrated and very week. At this point he mentioned that he took diet pills and when he mentioned its name the doctor’s face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole lot of health problems, including death. He was promptly told to get rid of the pills or the next time he would not be so lucky. Jerry was kept in hospital for 10 more hours, given 3 or 4 Intravenous every 15 minutes.
This story should be taken as a warning. If one seriously wants to loose weight there are better ways with the quickest being to cut out red meats, alcohol and sugars. Eating vegetables, soups and drinking lots of water should do the trick. Exercising for at least an hour is also a good idea.
